Resident FAQs
What is the project duration?
The project began in April 2026 and is expected to finish in January 2027; subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.
What should I expect?
There will be scheduled water service interruptions with prior notice provided. You will experience lane restrictions, reduced travel speeds, and traffic control signage in active work zones. You will see periodic construction equipment and activity in the corridor.
How will this project help?
This work is part of the Town’s plan to mitigate stormwater runoff for a 10-year storm event as well as reduce traffic speeds for this one-mile segment. The proposed improvements consist of the installation of a storm drainage system, roadway resurfacing/reconstruction, addition of traffic calming features, and pavement markings for two lanes with bike lanes on each side. There will also be an upgrade to sidewalk ramps and driveways for ADA compliance with a mill and overlay to finish.
Where is the construction happening?
Activities will occur on Mockingbird Lane between Invergordon Road and 56th Street, and along Invergordon Road between Mockingbird Lane and Horseshoe Road.
